Texas Common Application

- Chose an issue of importance to you—the issue could be personal, school related, local, political, or international in scope—and write an essay in which you explain the significance of that issue to yourself, your family, your community, or your generation.

Something of vital importance to me would have to be the topic of child abuse. Every 13 seconds a child is being abused by someone and over 3 million counts of child abuse are reported in the United States. I feel so strongly about this because a child should not be abused for personal enjoyment.

Reflection

As a writer in the beginning I had a little trouble committing to writing. I came in a frail, hyperactive, distracted boy with very little to contribute. Now a leave a frail, hyperactive, distracted boy with slightly more information about senseless things I shouldn't know but do. as a writer in the beginning i was always pretty good at making up a story that mad no sense, however as the year went on I've learn to write more than just collective story with no feasible cause. I have now learned the way of the pencil, how to write a synthesis essay, a argument essay, however, failing to learn the analysis. Ive grown as a writer, plain and simple.
